Wherever you are planning to go on your foreign holiday, travel insurance, from a reputable travel insurance company, is an esential requirement for the trip. Traveling anywhere outside the UK is not without risks. An simple way to cover this risk is through holiday insurance.

Travel insurance india
Many tourists cannot resist the attractions of the republic of India. It is the seventh-largest country by area in the world and the second most

populated country. The sheer scope for travel possibilities in India are immense. From the breathtaking Himalayas to the serene Taj Mahal, this is a fascinating country and is becoming more and more popular with tourists and backpackers. make sure you arrange vaccination against Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Malaria & Yellow Fever prior to the trip. Also for India travel you will have to select the “worldwide” option on your travel insurance application.

Lets start with the most serious considerations when travelling abroad and work our way down to the more annoying, inconvenient and costly problems.
Most holiday or travel insurance policies will include an accidental death policy, which will cover repatriation of body/remains to UK funeral home. They will also cover emergency medical evacuation while you are on a trip outside the UK. They will also cover missed flights, lost baggage, loss due to theft, holiday cancellation due to family emergency and potentially much more. But that really depends on the company providing the cover.

Ireland travel insurance
ireland is experiencing something of a renaissance when it comes to tourism. Particularly Northern ireland which has always been a beautful destination (as seen on Britains favourite view on ITV1 introduced by Eddie irvine) but the natural beauty has been overshadowed by the “troubles” until recently. Now ireland’s tourism is booming with lots of investment in infrastructure and also heavy TV advertising. Both Southern Ireland (Eire) and Northern Ireland both fall into the “Europe” category when arranging insurance. No vaccinations or advisory notes required when travelling from the UK mainland.

Travel insurance from most companies can be arranged well in advance of the actual holiday, so there is no reason for you not to have cover in place before you travel. Remember, accidents, illnesses, emergencies, and unforeseen events can happen anywhere, anytime and to anyone. At least with holiday insurance you can offset these risks during the period of your trip.

Travel insurance medical condition
finding suitable travel insurance if you suffer from a pre-existing medical condition is an absolute necessity. Never be tempted to lie on your insurance application simply to get a cheaper policy. As if you are taken ill during your holiday you will need your travel insurance policy to ensure you get free medical treatment. Potentially medical bills abroad can be £1000’s and if you have not advised your insurer of your pre-existing condition then they simply wont pay out for your treatment. In some countries hospitals will refuse treatment unless paid in advance or they get approval from an insurance company - dont leave yourself in this position!

Travel insurance over 70 UK
In times gone by travel insurance for those of us in our “twlilight years” was either i mpossible to find or was so expensive no-one could afford it! Nowadays it is much simpler with many insurers operating in this marketplace, offering cover for over 65, 70, 75, 80 and even 90 years old! For more information see insurance over 70’s

Another area you should investigate is annual travel insurance policies, these are sometimes referred to as multi-trip policies. if you travel abroad more than once per year these annual policies can actually work out cheaper. When going on holiday it is important to make sure the cover extends to the geographical area of travel, insurance generally falls into 3 categories UK, Europe and Worldwide.
