Koh Chang island holidays and resorts in Thailand
Koh Chang is the 2nd largest Thai island, the name translates as “Elephant Island” as the islands shape is said to resemble an elephant. Koh Chang is only 330 km East of Bangkok in the province of Trat - a flight to Koh Chang from Bangkok is both cheap and quick - the island is 40 km long and 16 km wide. Koh Chang Thailand is probably the Island least known to foreigners, the largest among the 52 islands of Trat, is also the nation’s second largest island, after Phuket. Koh Chang ( Ko Chang ) has always been a favorite get-away for Thai people but now is catching on and gaining popularity with travelers worldwide.

Strangely, Koh Chang only has three seasons. The cool season is from November to February,the hot season from March to June and the rainy season from July until October (although Koh Chang is not as badly affected by the the annual monsoon rains as some parts of Thailand)! Most people agree the best time to visit is the cool season thereby avoiding the rain and intense heat.
